Shifting, Slicing, Lifting, Burning

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI have few rules: bring nothing into the glade, take nothing away and…
shifting, slicing, lifting, burning, YES.

There’s a rough attempt at composition (do composition and compost have the same root?)

And pleasure too in seeing how keen others are to play: best moment of the day, three of us shifting a moss laden log just far enough to echo its sculpted void, contemplating freshly revealed earth. And knowing too that when I’m next back – at the end of May – we can shift it again to have: old void, new void, new moss on old wood and less wood (as one end of the log is surely rotting away).

Dear Karen, 5 of us went to the glade today and saw your work. It is very interesting – managing to harmonise with and also transform the glade. It would have been good to talk to you about your work but I gather you wont be back until the end of May. Hope we can meet you then. John Andrews

Hi John, thank you! And glad you found it ok. We are planning a launch at the end of the month so I’ll be back then and delighted to meet up. Also, we’ll be starting a flickr page soon, am really hoping folk will upload their photos – I’m so curious to see how others will ‘interpret’ the site.
